SOUND SYSTEMS DESIGN
The site of Wembley Stadium has been the legendary home of football for almost a century. Pele said, “Wembley is the cathedral of football. It is the capital of football and it is the heart of football.”
Jim Griffiths has been involved with the stadium since 1984 and the Live Aid concert the following year. He has continued to provide sound and acoustic advice to the stadium throughout its redevelopment. Vanguardia’s engineers continue to provide operation and management of sound and AV systems for every event, and licensing services for all concert events.
The new stadium has been constructed on the site of the old stadium and has been designed as a state of the art national stadium and home for the English FA. The stadium includes a movable roof in three sections to assist the environmental conditions. The bowl of the stadium has been designed to provide continuous views from all seats and has been optimised to encourage crowd atmosphere.
The stadium provides premium facilities for hospitality including a number of restaurants. There are conferencing facilities with individual halls to accommodate between 100 to 2,000 people. The stadium also houses the FA offices and event, production and broadcast facilities.
