David Robertson

Over the past 30 years David has provided strategic and management input into projects where emerging technology plays a pivotal role achieving operational improvement and increased asset value. 

He has directed teams with the introduction of technology for major security applications, sporting and entertainment venues and is a member of the management team for Vanguardia’ s subsidiary company Crowd Dynamics that provides unique modelling analysis on pedestrian flow, evacuation and the optimisation of space.

David worked for Capita Symonds from 1987 until he joined Vanguardia in 2006. He was appointed as an executive director of Symonds Group in 1999 and following their successful management Buy Out held this position until the merger of Symonds Group and Capita Property Consultancy in 2004 when he was appointed Executive Director of the newly formed Capita Symonds with specific responsibility for their transport and technology group.

At Vanguardia David has been responsible for leading some of the companies most creative and iconic projects in the UK and overseas. He has managed the delivery of acoustic, audio visual and broadcast for a number of stadiums in Qatar as part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He is also leading work packages on Vanguardia and Crowd Dynamics Involvement in Dubai Expo. His UK experience extends to stadia, arena, and sound management for major outdoor music events.
