Alex Krasnic

Principal Acoustic Consultant 

Alex developed a passion for audio engineering whilst studying Aerospace Engineering at Manchester University. He joined the Vanguardia team in 2014, having worked at various independent, and larger multidisciplinary consultancies after receiving his Masters Degree in Environmental and Architectural Acoustics from the London South Bank University.

His main focus is as Project Manager for many of our built environment projects that require specialist building acoustics expertise. As well as ensuring the smooth running of projects, which can be very short or take many years to complete, he acts as a technical point of contact for our building acousticians.

Alex enjoys the freedom and flexibility you get to express and engage with the multidisciplinary aspect of projects at Vanguardia. A natural collaborator, working with all the teams involved and understanding how they can work together to achieve the end product, gives him a real sense of achievement.

Alex has spent time going to schools presenting acoustics activities as part of his long-standing STEM Outreach (Acoustics Ambassador) role through the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), resulting in him receiving the Institute’s “Award for Promoting Acoustics to the Public” in 2014. Alex has also represented Vanguardia as a founding member of the IfA Trailblazer Group set up to create the new, Acoustics Technician Level 4 Apprenticeship.
