Ricoh Arena decided to utilise space within their stadium and arena complex to add a fully specified auditorium to expand their facilities for multi-use clients.
The 600 seat auditorium has been designed to cater for a range of event types from corporate to entertainment. On the basis of this, the client required a system to enable live and pre-recorded programmes along with presentation for video. Vanguardia specified a digital projection system based around the Christie HD Roadster and an audio system around Meyersound active loudspeakers.
The system provides stage feeds and is operated from the auditorium control room, which provides installed active mixing equipment and additional space for incoming productions to patch into the auditorium system.
The acoustic design of the auditorium has also been undertaken and allows for the room to be used with the seating tier retracted to provide a flat floor for musical events or exhibitions.
