Vanguardia have worked with Spurs to create a truly outstanding multi-use stadium that has quickly become a major landmark in London for supporters, visitors and the local community since opening in 2019. Our work has been recognised with a nomination in the prestigious AV Awards.

An innovative approach to AV

The scale of the project was immense and required a dedicated and constant on-site presence from the Vanguardia team to manage an evolving brief over the course of almost two years.

The new Stadium includes the largest LED screens in the Premier League at over 1,000m2 and 3 levels of balcony front ribbon boards. The perimeter LED is also the longest and largest UEFA compliant system in the world.

Our remit was far-reaching throughout the entire stadium, including concourses, hospitality suites, conference and banqueting areas and media tributes. This includes over 1,700 screens of varying sizes and orientations across hospitality, four giant LED screens inside the stadium and 4,000 loudspeakers. This wealth of screen real-estate is mapped to every single pixel and powered by a broadcast quality Production Control Room that houses 14 operators on a matchday.

The Marketplace

An outstanding match-day experience

The design brief for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was to create a memorable experience for every fan, no matter what ticket they hold. A series of spaces and outlets inspired by high street concepts were created, including The Marketplace, a large glass-fronted atrium space a separate micro-brewery and taproom and the famous Tunnel Club; a glass walled restaurant and bar with a unique behind-the-scenes view of the Players’ Tunnel.

As Spurs settle in and grow in their new stadium the AV infrastructure has been designed to grow and expand with them giving the quality and flexibility to allow creativity across matchday and all uses of the venue. This is in many ways the most exciting phase of the project!
